Photographs are a visual history of who we are and who we once were, they document memories that might otherwise fade away. My job as a photographer is to be a storyteller, capturing and preserving history.
The documentary photographer should not be a large factor in the experience of your wedding day. Therefore I limit the amount of equipment I take to each shoot and limit the amount of posed pictures. This allows the wedding day fall into the natural rhythm that is unique to each wedding. My favorite compliment is when someone tells me, “I’m so glad you got a picture of that. I didn’t even know you were there!”
